THE LINKLENS METHOD

Read the link, not the promise.

Links often contain more than meets the eye. LinkLens separates visible URL components so you can make a better-informed decision.

01

Parse the hostname

We identify the URL's scheme and hostname using a local parser. A deceptive link like https://[email protected]/ actually has the parsed hostname unfamiliar.example.

02

Decode the readable parts

We show the path, recognizable percent-encoded data, and individual query parameters. Familiar ad-tracking markers are labeled separately.

03

Look for nested destinations

Recognizable URLs inside redirect-oriented parameters are extracted up to a limited depth. Some encoded forms are supported, but there is no promise of complete redirect discovery.

04

Stay aware of the limits

LinkLens makes no network request to the pasted URL. It does not follow redirects, check DNS, detect malware, verify site ownership, or provide a safety certification. Server-side redirects and custom client scripts can be invisible to static inspection.
